It's Seal Day in San Pedro!!! And of course HSO will be there with an information booth at the Marine Mammal Care Center to talk with people about the fate of the Canadian Harp Seals. This is a small event (but growing) with about 30 exhibitors providing information on a wide range of ocean related topics. It's a fun and educational day for the family to come to the Marine Mammal Center and take a tour to see how injured or sick seals and sea lions are rescued and cared for so they can be returned to the ocean. This is the "pupping" season so I'm sure the center has a number of baby seals anxious to return home. The admission and parking is free and no, even though I know you'll want to, you can't adopt a baby seal and take him home! :o)
